Beauty Mistakes That Are Damaging Your Love Life
It is unlikely that you will have considered whether beauty mistakes could be damaging your love life; after-all, there are so many other, more obvious factors to take into consideration. However, it is possible that your beauty routine, or lack of it, is affecting how you feel and behave, and how others, including your lover, see you.
Over zealous beauty preparation
If you are highly concerned over presenting what you consider the right image all the time, it is probable that you have an extensive beauty regime. If you’re a woman you may spend a great deal of time applying, and retouching your makeup, and making sure your hairstyle, color and cut are all perfect. If you are a man, you may spend hours at the gym in order to keep a toned physique, and have a beauty regime that involves primping and preening to ensure you look your best.
While there is nothing wrong in making the most of yourself, beauty can become an obsession that takes valuable time and attention away from your relationship. Your love life may be adversely affected by this beauty mistake, if your partner or spouse is fed up of having to wait for you to get ready to go out, or you seem to care more about your appearance than you do them.
Lack of personal care
At the opposite end of the spectrum are individuals who do not consider their appearance relevant to their love life at all. They do not bother to practice good hygiene habits, rarely cut their hair or fingernails, and do not look after their body or skin. The result can be that they look far older than they are, and less attractive than they could be.
Obsession with dieting
People who lack body confidence sometimes become obsessed with dieting. They follow each diet when it comes out, and count each calorie in food and drink. As a short-term measure, this could help them lose weight and gain confidence. However, once dieting becomes an obsession it can result in low self-esteem, and people may feel a temptation to put their love life on hold until they reach a desired weight. As the dieting never stops, they have no love life at all.
Lack of confidence
As well as constant dieting, a lack of body confidence can cause individuals to hide themselves away from prying eyes, including those of their beloved. Their love life can be adversely affected by a lack of spontaneity and physical freedom, along with a preoccupation regarding never being seen in a bad light.
Personal piercing
Unlucky individuals can sometimes find that attempts to spice up their relationship and enhance their beauty can result in their love life being damaged. An infected body piercing, such as a Prince Albert gone awry, can result in physical pain that spoils intimacy.
Various beauty mistakes can damage your love life, if you are not careful. They range from becoming so obsessed with beauty that your beauty regime makes you its prisoner, to physical damage which stops you having a love life, or a lack in body confidence that could cause you to hide away and not become involved in a relationship.
